Who Can Participate
Our trips offer opportunities for those who have a passion for service, a love of adventure and a keen interest in working with others. The group is all the more enriched if we have:- Mature, broad-minded, self-directed, flexible volunteers
- Team players
- Speakers of all languages, especially Spanish, French and English
- Giving people willing to care and share
- People willing to dig deep and put their hands to work
- Volunteers who have talents and skills that will enrich the group
- Musicians, singers, artists, hobbyists, gardeners
- Coaches or players of baseball, soccer, basketball
- Volunteers who love children
- Participants of ALL faiths, cultures and backgrounds, who are open-minded, tolerant and comfortable working alongside one another.
- Students
- preferably in grades 11, 12, college, CEGEP, or university
- seeking community service hours
- in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Program – seeking the Gold (Residential), Silver (Adventurous Journey) or Bronze (Service) qualifications
- Teachers
- with experience especially working with teens
- with ECE, primary, English as a Second Language or Literacy qualifications
- who will act as group leaders for 5-7 students
- Adults
- tradesmen: carpenters, plumbers, electricians, handymen, mechanics, and painters
- crafts people: with talent in machine or hand sewing, knitting, quilting, needlework, crochet or weaving
- child care workers, Sunday school teachers, pastors, youth workers
- medical or dental professionals, social workers, business people, computer technologists
- hairdressers, beauticians
- Rotary volunteers - Interactors, Rotaractors, Rotarians and their families
