Each participant flying West Jet is allowed two pieces of check-in luggage, one of personal items, and one of donated items, each weighing no more than 50 pounds. Sometimes for humanitarian purposes, we are allowed still one more bag of 50 pounds! It is important that everyone pack within that limit to avoid excess weight charges.

Soft gear bags, particularly with wheels, are easiest for transporting and loading into tight spaces on buses. The gear bags used for donation items may become donation items themselves – be prepared for this!

Basically, bring clothes that you can comfortably work in and that can either be thrown away or given away at the end of the trip.
